What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Interventionist position at Pembroke Public Schools?
The Mathematics Interventionist works closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to design and deliver individualized and small-group math interventions, using data-driven practices to close learning gaps and promote mathematical proficiency.
1. Deliver small-group and individualized math instruction to students identified as needing intervention support.
2. Assess students’ current levels of math achievement using a variety of diagnostic tools and formative assessments.
3. Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with student needs and academic goals.
4. Monitor and track student progress regularly; adjust instruction accordingly.
5. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and instructional teams to coordinate intervention efforts and integrate support into classroom learning.
6. Participate in team meetings and IEP meetings as needed.
7. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
8. Maintain accurate records of student performance and interventions provided.
