What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Paraprofessional (reposted) position at Pembroke High School?
Job Goal: To provide support to classroom teacher(s) by assisting students with disabilities and/or behavioral challenges. The position focuses on promoting positive student behavior, implementing behavior management strategies, and supporting students in developing the skills necessary for success in the classroom.
Temporary Assignment: December
Monday-Friday: 7 hours
Assist classroom teacher(s) in implementing accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention plans aligned with students’ individual needs.
Support students in developing self-regulation, social, and problem-solving skills.
Reinforce positive behaviors and apply consistent behavioral supports under teacher or specialist guidance.
Collect data on student behaviors and progress as directed.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with staff to support the implementation of strategies that promote student engagement and access to the general curriculum.
Salary : $125
