Job Title: Security Department: Moorage Reports to: Assistant General Manager
Position Prerequisites:
1. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
2. Previous unarmed patrol experience preferred.
3. High school graduate preferred.
4. Ability to work with guests in all areas, with a positive approach.
5. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
6. Ability to work as a team.
Purpose:
Maintain security of resort - assist flow of operation during business hours.
Major Duties:
1. Patrol all resort facilities and react in logical manner to situations which arise.
2. Write all reports necessary.
3. Maintain communication with base station and co-workers throughout shift.
4. Monitor traffic flow on resort.
5. Possess basic first-aid knowledge and utilize skills as necessary. Obtains assistance for accident victims.
6. Maintain a shift log recording and all unusual activity or observations.
7. Know the resort chain of command and governing United States resort authorities to contact in emergency situation.
8. Assist guest as necessary with requests that may arise when other resort departments have closed.
9. Patrol in public areas to detect fires, unsafe areas and missing or inoperative equipment.
10. Warns and/or ejects troublemakers and cautions careless people.
11. Report disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism and accidents.
12. Transportation of customers to various points on resort.
13. Receive boat handling & operation training. Know safe operation and boat handling procedures.
14. Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
15. Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality.
16. Use “clean as you go” method when performing your work duties.
17. Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind.
18. Adhere to safety policies.
19. Be present at all departmental, resort and training meetings.
20. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments).
21. Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed.
General:
1. Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort.
2. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations.
3. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by General Manager.
4. Material handling: stooping, bending, lifting an average of 30 pounds will be part of some job requirements.
Salary : $16 - $18
