Responsibilities:
- This positions generally needs to be available between the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm M-F, some Saturday morning rotating schedules as well (usually done by noon on Saturday)
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of routes using computer software
- Analyze and make recommendations on improving route performances
- Enter accurate and timely dispatches and updates
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction on routes while maintaining service quality
- Accurately complete required forms, documents, reports, records, etc.
- Assist in directing drivers to perform pick-ups and deliveries in an efficient and effective manner
- Attend regular training and educational programs related to dispatching and routing software
- Assist with various yearly projects in Operations
Qualifications:
- Experience working with routing and logistics software
- Ability to change or create routes in all divisions to improve efficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Encore, electronic calendars, etc
- Ability to effectively provide leadership supervision in the dispatch office
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Willing to undergo a drug screening in accordance with local law/regulations
- Possess OR the ability to obtain a Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
