Job Description:
The Project Designer is responsible for coordinating activities between customers and Regional Sales Territory Managers to provide:
· Equipment layouts using AutoCAD software.
· Calculate equipment utility requirements using Microsoft Excel for mechanical schedules.
· Produce Installation Drawings including detailed Locating, Mechanical, and Electrical Requirements to customers and salesmen.
· Respond to various requests for information pre-sale and post-sale using Outlook.
· Consult with vendors to optimize plant layouts.
· Collaborate with equipment vendors efficiently when involved in projects together.
· Communicate with customers on issues and potential solutions.
· Travel as needed to take measurements, attend job site meetings, and take part in installations.
Job Requirements:
· BS in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Applications Engineering
· Experience in mechanical drawing/ design work, AutoCAD (2D and 3D) design software skills.
· High level of mechanical aptitude and ability to articulate mechanical concepts
· Must be willing to travel throughout our 7-state territory as needed.
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
· Requires ability to be aware of situations while on job sites to ensure safety.
· Ability and experience to communicate effectively and directly with customers.
