Server/Waitstaff at Pellegrinos Italian Kitchen & Catering

Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen & Catering in Olympia, WA is looking for a full time server to join our team. We are located on 205 Cleveland Ave Se. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working. Must be available for day time and evening shifts.

Position is wage tips. Tip out for support staff and kitchen is required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers with a genuine and friendly demeaner
• Engaging with guests in a way that makes them feel welcome and comfortable
• Knowledge of upsell strategies, how to improve the guest experience, and the willingness to go above and beyond
• Morning shifts require knowledge of bar and salad prep items.
• Seating guests or bagging takeout orders when working day time
• Presenting the menu and helping customers select food
• Wine Presentation
• Delivering food to tables
• Delivering a great customer experience
• Completing all necessary side work and off tasks.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate a clear knowledge of all menu items, wine selection, and cocktails.
• A true understanding of the difference between hospitality and service.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Flexible schedule and availability
• Able to multitask efficiently
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to keep up in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to carry both small and large trays upstairs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• 2 years experience as a Server, Waitress, or Waiter is required.
• 2 years cash-handling experience required.
• Bartending experience is a plus.
• 21 and over required.
• Food Handlers Permit & Mast Permit Required.
