Responsibilities
- Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair to ensure optimal vehicle safety and performance
- Conduct oil changes and replace automotive fluids such as coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid with precision
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks utilizing hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose basic automotive issues using standard diagnostic procedures and communicate findings clearly to customers or supervisors
- Support wheel alignments and other essential vehicle servicing tasks to enhance driving safety and comfort
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols during all service operations
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed, recommending additional maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills
- Previous dealership or automotive service technician experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of standard passenger cars and basic automotive systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment
- Experience in automotive fluid replacement, oil changes, tire service, and minor mechanical repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Knowledge of wheel alignment procedures and general vehicle maintenance practices
- Familiarity with automotive repair standards, safety protocols, and quality control measures
