Description:

As an Architectural Sales Representative, you will form close working relationships with residential and commercial architects across Michigan. Through building trust and applying product expertise, your ultimate goal is to earn a proprietary specification of Pella solutions on current and future building and renovation projects.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain relationships with residential and commercial architects and designers.
  • Build trust quickly through personal rapport and product expertise. Deliver product demonstrations, accredited A.I.A. presentations, and discuss tailored solutions for standard and unique design opportunities.
  • Get that specification! If the project comes through with Pella specified as the proprietary product solution from the architecture firm, we win.
  • Stay close to your projects and customer, following through on all details and timely communications to ensure a close to the sale and successful delivery of the solution.
Requirements:

The Successful Salesperson will…

  • Be genuine, knowledgeable, honest, likeable, and persuasive. Build quick and lasting rapport with customers. They want to see you in their office and on their jobsites.
  • Always be seeking new business relationships through networking with relevant organizations and groups, and wherever they go.
  • Get the details right. These are complex construction projects and discerning customers who expect the highest quality experience. Experience with CRM systems a plus.
  • Demonstrate 2 successful years in a sales or similar role, engaging directly with customers.
  • Meet and exceed established sales goals, working creatively to win all high potential opportunities. Examples of taking personal responsibility to meet deadlines required.
  • Not necessarily enter into this role with construction experience. It’s a nice-to-have. If you are a quick learner who can visualize 3-D concepts, read blueprints, and comprehend installation processes, we can teach you.

  • Progressive income growth. Some of these projects are big, which could mean a couple years before the project is built. The successful sales rep is both impatient to spec projects and patient to see those projects through to completion. Year 1 sales reps will take home $75-$90k. Stay through to year 3 and beyond, your annual income potential grows to $120k through a combination of base salary, earned commissions, and bonus programs.
  • Company car. Almost forgot to mention, this position comes with a Pella branded vehicle, expense allowance, and cell phone reimbursement, too.

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
