What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOSPICE BEREAVEMENT SPECIALIST PRN position at Pella Regional Health?
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- MSW in social work. Licensure in the State of Iowa.
- Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements.
- Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy.
- Knowledge of Medicare and insurance industry.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements.
- 2 to 5 years of appropriate experience in bereavement facilitation preferred.
- Knowledge and acceptance of Hospice philosophy and care. Hospice experience preferred.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient for effective patient, family, and staff interaction.
- Completion of Hospice of Pella Volunteer Training Course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
