Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Property Maintenance Technician to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and repair of multiple commercial and residential properties. This role is responsible for ensuring that all interior and exterior areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing maintenance operations across multiple locations in St. Tammany Parish and Pearl River County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs across all properties.
- Oversee and perform maintenance work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, structural, and landscaping systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests, tenant issues, and property emergencies.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders, maintenance schedules, and property conditions.
- Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Recommend and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce long-term costs.
- Ensure consistent and proactive communication with property owners to keep them informed of property-related issues and to obtain necessary approvals in accordance with established protocol
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in property maintenance or facilities management.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent issues effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
Compensation:
- Pay: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
