Teller Floater

Our Floaters receive an ADDITIONAL $2/hour on top of their already competitive hourly wage!

The Teller Floater is responsible for assisting all members with their financial needs. This is a front-line role responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to members through various channels, including in-person, by video, by phone, and through text and digital messaging. This position floats to various branches/departments performing a variety of financial transactions and supporting both lobby and teller operations. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude, and is a problem-solver with strong member service skills.  Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable in a sales environment and be able to meet monthly sales goals.

A Day in the Life of a Teller Floater INCLUDE:

• Serving as a member experience concierge for members via various channels, including those entering the branch and those being serviced by video, phone and through text and digital messaging.
• Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Assisting members in the opening and closing of accounts.
• Balancing the teller drawer at the end of the day.
• Supporting ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) operations and serving as a knowledgeable resource.
• Promoting and cross-selling Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Teller FLoater Skills and qualifications include:

• Minimum of 1 year of continuous job experience.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and member service skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PPT.

    • 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• Travel
  • Travel between assigned locations is necessary for this position.
• Work Site Location
  • Our Mid City and Denham Springs branches will be the home branches for this position.
    • The additional territories this role may be scheduled in advance to work at include:
      • O’Neal Branch
      • Video Operations (Corporate Campus in Baton Rouge)
