The Dealer Relations Representative will serve as the main point of contact for all dealer relationships with Pelican State Credit Union. This position is responsible for successfully developing, deepening, and maintaining relationships with Pelican's existing and future dealer partners working to achieve the Credit Union's strategic goals. The Dealer Relations Representative is an advocate for both Pelican and the dealership to build strong working relationships. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEALER RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE INCLUDES:
- Building and nurturing positive, profitable business relationships with dealers through daily conversations and solicitations while educating them on the Credit Union’s indirect program.
- Building and expanding the indirect territory of dealerships based on the objectives of the Credit Union.
- Actively supporting and educating dealers on all aspects of the Credit Union’s indirect program to maximize results for the dealers and the Credit Union.
- Review dealer agreements for completion and accuracy; partner with dealers to resolve any outstanding items.
- Track and report monthly dealer visits providing quality feedback that is actionable to ensure relationships are continually strengthened.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- 2-year college degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 2 years of lending experience within a financial institution, preferably in indirect lending.
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
- Knowledge of dealership operations and indirect finance industry required.
- Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time, sometimes overnight.
