Performs a variety of duties to deliver, via forklift, molds and supplies to and from rotational mold machines.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Delivers molds, powders, diaphragm boxes, empty gaylords and pallets to rotational mold machines or storage location in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintains hopper levels for powder on roto machines and transact in SAP.
- Delivers molds to and from mold shop, pre-mold and mold balance.
- Reviews mold rack to move molds not being utilized to the offsite warehouse.
- Reviews roto run sheet daily for changeovers to schedule to ensure appropriate molds are delivered on time.
- Moves raw materials as necessary for Machine Shop.
- Remove scrap bins and dispose of appropriately.
- Delivers pallets to Rotational MoldDepartment and Injection Molding Department.
- Assists Fabrication/Design department in the transfer of large cases from the floor to the assembly tables.
- Assists Test Lab in forklift-related tasks as needed.
- Maintains mold locations and labels in the specified racks.
- Follow all proper safety protocols required to operate the fork lift (daily checklist, fill battery cells with water, report any issues)
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and completion of Pelican driving test for forklifts.
- Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
