Job Title : Nurse Educator

Overview :
Pelican Pointe is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nurse Educator to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual committed to advancing nursing education and improving patient care through effective teaching and mentorship. We welcome applications from Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a background in education and long-term care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff and students.
- Facilitate classroom instruction, clinical training, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Assess the learning needs of nursing staff and students, tailoring educational content accordingly.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify relevant clinical topics and integrate current practices into the curriculum.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make continuous improvements based on feedback and assessment data.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing students and staff in clinical settings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, educational methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain course materials, including syllabi, presentations, and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and professional development activities.
- Education for all staff although primarily nursing. Qualifications :
- Education :
- RN candidates must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license.
- LPN candidates must hold a current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- Experience :
- Prior LTC and clinical experience in nursing.
- Prior teaching or preceptorship experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and educational methodologies.
