Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our growing independent community pharmacy in the State of Florida. Our pharmacy specializes in retail pharmacy services and 340B program operations, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service, teamwork, patient care, and business growth. This is not a traditional corporate retail environment—we are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, compassionate, and willing to help build and expand an independent pharmacy business.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead daily pharmacy technician workflow and support pharmacy operations efficiently.

· Provide outstanding customer service to patients, caregivers, providers, and healthcare facilities.

· Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, adjudication, refill coordination, and prescription intake.

· Support 340B pharmacy program operations, inventory management, and compliance processes.

· Perform data entry, insurance billing, prior authorizations, and claim troubleshooting.

· Maintain inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and monitor medication shortages.

· Ensure compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies.

· Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.

· Coordinate patient follow-up calls for refill adherence, medication synchronization, and customer satisfaction.

· Handle workflow issues professionally while maintaining a positive team environment.

· Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation.

· Assist with delivery coordination, packaging, and patient communication when needed.

· Support marketing and relationship-building efforts with physician offices and healthcare providers.

· Help create an efficient, patient-centered culture focused on growth and quality service.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.

· Minimum 2–3 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.

· Independent pharmacy experience strongly preferred.

· 340B experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.

· Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflow, insurance billing, and customer service.

· Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Experience with pharmacy management systems and pharmacy software.

· Professional attitude with a willingness to grow the business.

· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is tired of the limitations of large corporate retail pharmacies and is looking for an opportunity to grow with an independent pharmacy that values teamwork, patient relationships, flexibility, and innovation. If you enjoy building patient relationships, improving pharmacy operations, and helping expand a business, this is the right opportunity for you.
