The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-energy, action-oriented VP of Operations to lead daily operational execution, supply chain management, facility workflows, and organizational development.
You will work closely with executive leadership and serve as the operational backbone of our business. This role is perfect for a grounded, hands-on leader who excels in a boutique, team-focused environment. You are someone who takes initiative; possesses a natural curiosity about existing processes and strong competencies for the improvement of these processes; and builds deep trust across cross-functional teams and employees.
Your Responsibilities
- Operational & Supply Chain Leadership: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, logistics, vendor coordination, and cross-departmental workflows linking quality, sales, and distribution
- Daily On-Site Presence & Oversight: Maintain an active daily physical presence at headquarters to drive operational accountability, support both on-site and hybrid team members, and ensure cohesive facility ops
- Metrics & Process Optimization: Analyze operational metrics and workflows to fine-tune efficiencies, reduce friction, and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Systems Modernization: Review internal administrative processes, establish departmental performance goals, refresh employee guidelines, and streamline safety and tracking protocols
- Regulatory Readiness & Compliance: Act as a calm, dependable leader during critical regulatory events, maintaining composure and operational control during audits and compliance inspections from customers and governmental agencies
- Team Building & Empowerment: Foster an empowering culture that respects and learns from long-tenured staff while challenging the entire workforce to grow and take initiative. Engage with a hybrid workforce with enthusiasm and efficiency
- Executive Representation: Represent Verdure Sciences professionally at key industry events, association meetings, and external partner discussions on behalf of executive leadership
