Head Junior High Boys Wrestling
2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications:
- Provide leadership for the junior high boys wrestling team while aligning instruction and expectations with the overall wrestling program philosophy.
- Teach and reinforce wrestling fundamentals, proper technique, rules, conditioning, and age-appropriate strategies.
- Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices that support skill development and prepare student-athletes for competition.
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment that prioritizes proper technique, injury prevention, athlete well-being, and sportsmanship.
- Foster a positive team culture centered on effort, confidence, accountability, growth, and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and other wrestling coaches.
- Encourage participation and support the continued growth of girls wrestling at the junior high and high school levels.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and other team activities.
- Follow all school district, conference, and athletic association policies, including requirements related to eligibility, weight management, and competition.
- Model professionalism, integrity, and respect while supporting student-athletes’ academic, personal, and athletic development.
