Pegboard has been in business since 1964. We help companies put their logo on things — apparel, drinkware, trade show giveaways, printed materials, uniforms, branded company stores. Our clients range from local businesses to large organizations with employees across the country. When they need 500 embroidered polos by the 15th, we make it happen.
About the Role
You’ll be the day-to-day contact for a group of our clients. A typical day: a client emails asking about hats for an event, you research options and send a quote, they approve, you enter the order, you place the purchase order with the supplier, you route the art proof for approval, you track it through production, and you confirm it lands on time.
Order entry is a significant part of this job. Every CSR at Pegboard enters their own orders, and a typical day includes a lot of it — quantities, sizes, colors, imprint locations, decoration details, pricing, ship dates. The work rewards people who are fast and accurate with details and don’t mind repetition. An order entered wrong is a reprint, a late delivery, and an unhappy client.
The rest is coordination and communication: keeping clients informed, keeping suppliers on schedule, and catching problems before the client ever sees them.
What You’ll Do
- Enter orders accurately and promptly, with careful attention to specs and pricing
- Prepare quotes and keep records current on every open job
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts — answer questions, recommend products, resolve issues
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and follow up on lead times, pricing, and stock
- Route art proofs, confirm imprint and decoration details, and get client approval before production
- Track jobs through production and shipping, and update clients proactively
- Check incoming and outgoing orders against what was approved
- Help maintain client online stores — product information, product data, inventory levels
- Work with our production, warehouse, and accounting teams to keep orders moving
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of customer service, order entry, inside sales, or account coordination experience
- Fast and accurate with order entry and data entry
- Able to juggle many open jobs at once without losing track of details
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication — a lot of this job happens over email
- Strong attention to detail with numbers, spelling, colors, and specs
- Steady when priorities shift
- Comfortable learning new software (we’ll train you on our systems)
Experience in promotional products, print, apparel decoration, signs, or marketing is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.
