What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Pegasus Staffing Partners?
A growing technology company in Foxborough is adding a Staff Accountant to its established legacy-businesses division. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, owning the full accounting picture, and contributing ideas to improve processes and automation.
The team offers a modern, spacious office and a flexible hybrid setup. Ideally, this person will work on-site 2–3 days per week, although remote arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
- Support the full accounting cycle for a well-established business unit.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close and preparation of income statement and balance sheet reporting.
- Handle weekly billing activities, including equipment billing that is currently managed through a manual process.
- Process payroll and support related accounting activities.
- Help identify, improve, and automate manual accounting and billing workflows.
- Work in NetSuite and collaborate closely with an energetic, highly involved Accounting Manager.
- Take ownership of responsibilities, investigate issues, and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented accounting team.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Staff Accountant or similar hands-on accounting experience.
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Strong reconciliation, general ledger, billing, payroll, and month-end close skills.
- Ability to understand the complete accounting picture—not just one narrow function.
- A proactive, dependable “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Someone who has chosen accounting as their career path and wants to continue building depth in the profession.
- Interest in improving processes, including using technology and automation to make work more efficient.
Why consider this opportunity?
- Join a growing technology company with established, successful business units.
- Work directly with a supportive, high-energy manager who leads from the front and values initiative.
- Gain broad exposure to full-cycle accounting, including P&L and balance sheet work.
- Make a visible impact by helping modernize manual billing and accounting processes.
- Enjoy flexibility, a great office environment, and a team that values capable people who take ownership.
- This role can also be a strong fit for a more experienced accountant who enjoys meaningful, hands-on work without needing to pursue a traditional corporate management path.
Compensation
- Salary target: $70,000, with flexibility up to approximately $75,000 for the right background.
- 3% bonus opportunity.
- Hybrid flexibility, ideally 2–3 days per week in the Foxborough office.
