Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

We are partnering with a growing, well-capitalized energy company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their team. This role will play a key part in financial planning, operational analysis, and strategic decision support across the business. It’s a high-visibility position with direct exposure to senior leadership and strong opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes
• Build and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions and capital investments
• Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and commercial teams to drive insights
• Support executive leadership with reporting packages, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis
• Evaluate project economics, including ROI, NPV, and capital allocation decisions
• Improve and streamline reporting processes using tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar
• Assist with board presentations and investor-related materials as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
• Experience in the energy, oil & gas, utilities, or infrastructure sectors preferred
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
