About the Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily accounting operations and provide leadership across the accounting, payroll, and administrative functions. You will work closely with the Controller, guide and mentor staff, and play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong technical accounting skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for developing people.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting.
- Prepare and review accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for leadership.
- Create, monitor, and reconcile complex accounts.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to accounting and administrative staff.
- Partner with the Controller on month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Oversee the maintenance of a clean, safe, and welcoming office environment.
- Respond to ad hoc requests, resolve issues quickly, and support ongoing business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments preferred.
