Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced 9 axle Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of safely transporting large pieces of heavy equipment and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and unload heavy equipment such as scrapers, excavators, dozers, haul trucks.
- Plan and execute route following permits to ensure timely deliveries across different states.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operation.
- Assist with maintenance tasks as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Proven experience with 9 axle trailers.
- Experience operating manual transmissions.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures and securing safely.
- Familiarity with permitted route driving experience required.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy hauling and transportation regulations.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
