What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Inspector position at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority?
The Transportation Inspector monitors and inspects transportation services including operators, vehicles, and facilities within assigned territory of transportation system. Aids as a liaison between passengers and PDRTA when necessary for community outreach and feedback.
Experience as a bus operator, dispatcher, or related field preferred. Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen, pass a DOT pre-employment physical and criminal background check. SC Commercial Driver’s License Class B with Passenger Endorsement required. In-house CDL training and testing available.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years related experience and/or training
One Year Management Experience Preferred
Corresponding years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the level of education desired.
