What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance position at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority?
This role oversees all financial activities at PDRTA, including setting economic strategies and policies in collaboration with the Executive Director. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports that forecast income, expenses, and earnings, advising on insurance coverage, and conducting monthly financial reviews. The position manages depreciation rates for capital assets, ensures adequate insurance coverage for PDRTA locations, arranges audits, and prepares regulatory reports. The individual also manages relationships with banks, oversees various bank accounts, and maintains accounting ledgers. Additionally, the role directs payroll preparation, oversees payroll records and contributions to retirement and tax systems, and manages payroll software and timekeeping functions, ensuring accurate reconciliations of all payroll-related processes.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM

Bachelor's degree (BA) in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university and five years' experience in finance in a public agency or governmental entity required; CPA with bachelor's degree in accounting and at least two years supervisory experience in an office environment preferred.
