What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager of Operations position at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority?
Assists the Operations Manager with oversight of daily operations. This position provides leadership to drivers and support staff, assists in scheduling, training, and compliance, and serves as a point of contact for operational issues. Administers training programs for the operational personnel and coordinates the design, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school; Two years related work experience; Corresponding years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the level of education desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger Endorsement
CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement. In-house CDL training and testing available.
Other Requirements
Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre–employment drug screen;
Must pass a DOT pre-employment physical;
Occasional travel to other PDRTA offices is required;
Occasional local and overnight out-of-town travel is required;
Utilize company cell phone and laptop for communication outside of normal office hours
