About the Role:

The Primary Teacher for 1st-3rd Grade plays a pivotal role in shaping the foundational academic and social skills of young learners. This position is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state teaching certification/license for elementary education (1st-2nd grade) in the United States.
  • Demonstrated experience or student teaching in early elementary education settings.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Clear background check and eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related specialization.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom, including educational software and digital learning tools.
  • Training or certification in specialized programs such as Reading Recovery or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to 1st and 2nd grade students, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly through observations, assignments, and standardized assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages respect, cooperation, and active participation among students.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, school counselors, and administrators to support student development and address any academic or behavioral challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and ways to support learning at home.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and state curriculum standards.

Salary : $47,000 - $70,000
