Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in basic food handling and prep activities.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with facility procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Experience with kitchen or hotel environments, including catering or banquet experience, is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting restaurant operations.
