Position Highlights
- Provide care in a 17-bed pediatric unit and newborn nursery with approximately 2,400 annual admissions
- Pediatric Floor Average Daily Census: 5
- Newborn Nursery Average Daily Census: 15
- Collaborate closely with pediatric hospitalists in a team-based care model
- Work an 8-hour daytime shift; weekends preferred
- Participate in rounding, patient management, admissions, and discharge planning
- Access subspecialty support through leading institutions
- University of Virginia (UVA)
- INOVA
- Children’s National Hospital
- Pediatrix also provides onsite NICU services, supporting continuity across levels of care
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in pediatrics, newborn care, or hospital medicine preferred
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
- Team oriented with excellent communication abilities
- Committed to delivering family-centered, high-quality care
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Must have an active VA license
