Medical Assistant

PEDIATRIC OFFICE is looking for a MEDICAL ASSISTANT for the patient preparation room, as well as front desk help duties, patient preparations, and needed duties. Greeting patients, answering phones, checking insurance eligibility and status OTHER office front and back room patient preparation care duties,
Part-Time.Full Time.

PEDIATRIC OFFICE EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY PREFERRED.
APPLICANTS PREFERRED TO HAVE PEDIATRIC OFFICE EXPERIENCE AND PREFERRED TO BE ALSO SPANISH SPEAKERS.
ABLE TO ADMINISTER VACCINATIONS and INJECTIONS AND FAMILIAR W PEDIATRIC VACCINATIONS AND VACCINATION SCHEDULES.
Would be a great plus if you were able to draw blood and handle lab minor lab specimens if needed,as other medical Assistant Tasks and Duties;
Such as preparing patients for the examination for wellness check-ups and sickness visits Administering injections, minor tests, handling lab samples, etc., and ;

Greeting patients, answering phones, Checking insurance eligibility status, and all other front desk duties as well as repeating patients for the exam. Billing knowledge and experience will be a great plus.

WE PREFER ( EMR )/ OFFICE PRACTICUM USERS

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Perform basic life support techniques if necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient information

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with medical equipment and instruments
- Ability to provide excellent patient service and care in a compassionate manner
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Skills:
- Proficient in taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and emergency procedures
- Ability to administer medications following proper protocols
- Understanding of medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
