Role Description This full-time Occupational Therapist role is an on-site position located in Hickory, NC. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate children’s functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to support participation in daily activities at home, school, and in the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering direct therapy sessions, updating documentation and progress notes, and collaborating with caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals. The role also involves educating families on home programs, monitoring progress toward goals, and adjusting treatment as needed to optimize developmental outcomes. The therapist is expected to uphold professional standards, maintain ethical practice, and contribute to a supportive, child-centered team culture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience in treatment planning and delivery.

- Current license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Ability to provide on-site services in Hickory, NC, with reliable transportation if community visits are required.
- Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with comfort using electronic health records.
- CPR certification and adherence to all applicable regulatory and safety standards.
- Prior pediatric therapy experience is preferred.
