- An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills.
- Able to remain calm and professional in changing situations.
- Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age .
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience .
- Valid Pennsylvania Class A, B, or C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement . (If your organization operates under New York licensing requirements, substitute "New York" for "Pennsylvania.")
- Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or point violations within the past 36 months . Any driving violations are subject to individual review and may result in disqualification from driving on behalf of Pediatric Specialty Care.
- Must successfully meet all initial and ongoing driver qualification requirements, including compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, driving record reviews, medical examinations, drug and alcohol testing, vision and hearing requirements, and any other regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of local roadways and the ability to navigate assigned transportation routes efficiently and safely.
- Working knowledge of fleet vehicles, wheelchair lifts, securement systems, and adaptive transportation equipment, including proper operational and safety procedures.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to the unique rights, needs, and dignity of children and passengers with disabilities or mobility challenges.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with children, families, healthcare staff, and community partners.
- Ability to safely assist passengers with boarding, exiting, wheelchair securement, and the handling of mobility devices and medical equipment while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- CNA/Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant or EMT Certification Preferred
