Job Description: Pediatric Private Duty Nurse
Location: Temple, TX
A Pediatric Private Duty Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes. The nurse will work closely with the patient's family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a care plan that meets the patient's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
Assessing and monitoring the patient's condition
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
Providing wound care and other specialized nursing procedures
Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing
Communicating with the patient's family and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
Providing emotional support to the patient and family
Requirements:
Current RN license in the state of Texas
Experience with tracheostomy and G-tube management preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
