Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Medical Assistant role located in Bel Air, MD. The Pediatric Medical Assistant will provide clinical support to pediatric healthcare providers, preparing patients for examinations, documenting patient medical histories, and assisting during medical procedures. Additional responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handling administrative tasks, and providing compassionate communication with patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Clinical skills, including assisting in medical procedures, measuring vital signs, and providing basic patient care.
- Administrative abilities such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically and effectively with pediatric patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Basic knowledge of child development and pediatric care is highly desirable.
- Current certification or diploma as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain a patient-focused approach.
