LPN/RN

Pediatric Medicine is looking for an LPN/RN to join our busy pediatric practice.

***This position will include both floor work and phone triage.***

Pediatric or maternal child health experience preferred. Current nursing license in Vermont. A Pediatric Medicine nurse is responsible for the safe, appropriate and timely evaluation and care of our patient’s symptoms via the telephone and/or in person.

Other tasks include, but not limited to:

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with office staff, patients and families in a helpful and respective manner.
• Direct patient care includes, but is not limited to stocking, preparing, and cleaning exam rooms, rooming patients, taking appropriate vital signs and patient history and performing vision and hearing screenings. Performing in-house testing procedures for strep throat, processing urine samples as well as POCT for Hemoglobin and lead. Administering vaccinations and medications as requested by a doctor.
• Documenting medications and immunizations accurately in patient’s chart
• Initiating prescription refill requests for provider review and processing
• Prescription management tasks including processing prior authorizations
• Documenting patient requests for referrals and notifying provider through the referral workflow process
• Communication with patients and families regarding lab results, medication administration, and home care advice
• Providing patient education regarding common childhood illnesses, medications, expected courses of treatment and general medical advice

Upon completion of training, we are looking to fill 4 weekdays per week, and 4 weekend shifts (Sat and/or Sun 8:30-1:00 PM) per month. $4/hr differential for weekend shifts.

Starting Pay: $32-$34 per hour

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
