We are looking for an experienced leader in home health care who will be responsible for the overall direction of all customer-facing departments.
- Position: Area Manager
- Location: Kansas, KS
- Hours: Monday-Friday,(8a-5p)
- In office, on call as needed
THE ROLE:
The Area Manager oversees all customer-facing and operational activities to ensure high-quality patient care and effective team performance. This includes managing staff hiring, training, and development; coordinating patient services; and resolving issues with patients, families, and internal teams. The role involves preparing reports, budgets, and improvement plans, collaborating with leadership on strategic goals, and maintaining compliance with professional standards. Additionally, the manager negotiates with vendors, manages facility needs, and implements workflows and training programs to support continuous improvement in pediatric home health and DME service.
Lead day-to-day operations for area branches, ensuring efficient service delivery and patient care in accordance with physician orders, company policies, and professional standards.
Oversee all customer-facing and enabling staff across area locations.
Partner with Regional VP to meet/exceed P&L goals, budgets, and financial targets.
Analyze KPIs and financial statements to drive operational improvements and cost control.
Resolve escalated patient/family concerns while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and provider agencies.
Collaborate with caregivers and clinical staff to align on home medical equipment and services (RT, CN, PHAR/IV).
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Set clear goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and develop staff.
Champion quality improvement initiatives to enhance care and operational efficiency.
Travel within assigned area as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members
Providing training, coaching, and ongoing development
Planning, assigning, and monitoring daily work activities
Conducting performance evaluations and giving feedback
Recognizing and rewarding strong performance
Addressing concerns, resolving issues, and handling corrective actions when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7 years of progressive leadership experience in home health, DME, or related healthcare operations.
Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and KPIs.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-site teams.
Exceptional problem-solving, customer service, and communication abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
