Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based in Gastonia, NC. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate and treat pediatric clients with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders, using evidence-based assessment tools and therapy techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy sessions, and monitoring progress toward goals. The role involves educating and coaching families and caregivers, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with other therapists, teachers, and healthcare professionals. The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in team meetings, contribute to interdisciplinary care planning, and support outreach or educational activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality Speech Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Speech and Communication Disorders across pediatric populations.
  • Clinical skills in managing Language Disorders and supporting functional communication in daily environments.
  • Experience or training in evaluating and treating Dysphagia in children is preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; clinical fellows are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
