Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Neurologist to join our dynamic healthcare team at Pediatric Epilepsy & Neurology Specialists (PENS) in Tampa Bay, FL. As a Pediatric Neurologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders in children, including epilepsy, migraines, ADHD, autism, and other related conditions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young patients' lives through expert medical care and innovative treatment approaches. Flexible start date, may start between July 2026 to July 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations to diagnose pediatric patients' conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children with neurological disorders.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques and EEGs to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Demonstrate expertise in pediatric anatomy and neurology to accurately assess and treat patients.
- Utilize electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks for efficient data management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and other specialists, for holistic patient care.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement projects to advance pediatric neurology care.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and nurse practitioners.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide compassionate and comprehensive care.
Skills:
- Board Certification in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology Required.
- Board Certification in Epilepsy, Neurophysiology, and Sleep Medicine preferred.
- Proficiency in medical imaging and EEG interpretation.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing.
- Familiarity with pediatric neurology treatment applications and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy for precise diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Ability to use electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks effectively.
- Expertise in managing epilepsy and other neurological conditions in children.
- Experience working with a pediatric patient population.
- Proficient in data management to ensure accurate patient records.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
