What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus and Classroom Para position at Pediatric Developmental Services?
Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking to hire a full-time Bus Aide and Classroom Aide. Are you passionate about helping all students reach their potential? Bus Aide responsibilities:
- Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
- Ensure all students are seated and secured properly during transit.
- Provide support to students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
- Communicate effectively with the bus driver and school staff regarding any issues or concerns during transportation.
- Attend to the needs of individual students, including assisting with personal care tasks if necessary.
- Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures in the event of an incident or emergency on the bus.
- Help out with other tasks in the school when needed.
