Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and be passionate about delivering high-quality pediatric dental care.
Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric dentists with exams, cleanings, and dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols.
- Comfort and engage with young patients to create a positive and stress-free experience.
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Take and process dental X-rays following safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting in dental software.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- Support the dental team with general office duties as needed.
Qualifications
✅ Required:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant.
- Radiology certification .
- Knowledge of open dental software and digital X-ray technology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong work ethic.
✅ Preferred:
- Experience working in a high-volume pediatric dental office.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus!
- Coronal Polishing Certificate, Pits and Fissure Sealant Certification and Nitrous Certification.
