Flexible Schedule: PRN to 0.5 FTE
Pediatric & Fetal Cardiology Clinic is seeking a skilled and dependable echocardiography technologist to join our pediatric cardiology team.
This position offers exceptional scheduling flexibility—from a commitment of just a few days per month to approximately 0.5 FTE. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pediatric sonographer, an adult echocardiography technologist interested in expanding into pediatric imaging, or a recent graduate seeking specialized training.
Compensation
$45–$60 per hour, based on pediatric echocardiography experience, training, and demonstrated scanning proficiency.
Position Highlights

- Preference given to candidates willing to travel to an outreach clinic in rural OKlahoma approximately once per month. No overnight stay. Leave in morning and return home in evening.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography or diagnostic medical sonography program
- Pediatric echocardiography experience is preferred but not required
- Adult echocardiography technologists interested in learning pediatric echocardiography are encouraged to apply
- Recent graduates will also be considered
- RDCS, RCS, or registry eligibility is preferred
- Strong attention to image quality, measurements, and patient safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a collaborative outpatient environment
Training Opportunity
Adult echocardiography technologists without prior pediatric experience may undergo a structured, phased training program. Initially, the technologist will scan low-acuity patients approximately 11 years of age and older. As pediatric scanning skills and confidence develop, the technologist may gradually progress to younger patients and more varied pediatric studies under appropriate supervision.
Schedule
Scheduling can be customized based on the candidate’s availability and the clinic’s needs. Possible arrangements include:
- A few scheduled days per month
- Regular part-time employment
- Up to approximately 0.5 FTE
- Optional outreach-clinic travel approximately once per month
