Clinical Director of ABA (BCBA) Job Description:
Pediatric Advanced Therapy is excited to announce an incredible opportunity to join our team as an Clinical Director of ABA at our Winston-Salem location! This is a full-time (40 hours/week), in-person leadership role designed for a motivated and experienced BCBA ready to take the next step in their career.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a practicing BCBA
- Active BCBA certification
- North Carolina Licensure required

Clinical Director of ABA (BCBA) Job Responsibilities:
Run day-to-day ABA clinical program overseeing BCBAs and technicians while carrying a small caseload. Manage: One – two clinic locations depending on size of clinics. Responsible for clinical ABA operational aspects of their site/s. Requires excellent communication skills with multidisciplinary team, scheduling & billing and administration team.
- Managing a small caseload to include duties and responsibilities outlined below in the BCBA role
- Supervise and support onsite & remote staff (BCBAs, technicians)
- Weekly group BCBA meetings
- Manage weekly lead RBT & SA trainings / meetings
- Working with the BCBAs creating schedules in advance for the lead RBT & SAs
- Assist with parent communication
- Coordinate and maintain a schedule & process for ABA program facility needs
- Conduct advanced communication with technicians when concerns with performance or attendance escalate
- Monitor technician trackers and contracts monthly basis
- Support with onboarding new technicians and BCBAs
- Technician onboarding support includes training, scheduling shadow and reverse shadow sessions, competencies, reviewing session notes tests, and other support that may be requested by ABA technician onboarding coordinator
- Monthly session note audit checks of technicians
- Monitor RBT Coordinator support with coverage questions and tasks within the clinic during their downtime from scheduling and specific coordinator tasks
- Collaborate with BCBA team to plan for morale spending/training/clinic & staffing needs
- Order any ABA specific materials or supplies
- Maintain the ABA assessment kits
- Monthly Rethink reminders to audit discharged kids are moved to inactive
- Support in conducting technician annual reviews
- Mentorship with BCBA and a source of problem solving and peer review of programming and interventions
- Active positive engagement with coworkers building a collaborative culture that aligns with PATs vision and mission
Why it’s needed:
- Manage clinic-specific training, RBT assignments, family communication, and site-level logistics.
- Provide daily supervision to BCBAs, support remote BCBAs and technicians within their location.
- Ensure treatment plans are implemented effectively and updated regularly. Treatment integrity and IOA. Ensure documentation is available and update to changes within the clinics. -- Provider Acknowledgements are current and accurate
- Address ABA site-specific challenges quickly (e.g., behavior crises, staffing issues).
- Serve as the face of the ABA clinic to parents and families
