Qualifications:
- Master' s Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
- Current Illinois OT license
- Previous school setting experience is recommended but not required
- Flexibility and can work well with school' s population and understands complex sensory needs.
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. Job Details:
- Schedule: Part time need .5 fte (2.5 days/week)
- Dates: Aug 10 - June 4, 2027
- Hours: 8: 30am -3: 30pm
- Setting: K-8th grade ages
- In-person only
- Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
- Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
