Qualifications:
- Master' s Degree in Psychology
- PEL or Professional Educator' s license with the school psychology endorsement
Role Overview:
A School Psychologist assists students with academic, social, and emotional well-being and works with students and families to promote student success. The School Psychologist is a critical member of the IEP team and is relied upon to provide insight and guidance to the team regarding student academic and behavioral functioning.
Job Details:
- Assignment starts in October and lasts until December 19th (and possibly beyond)
- Daily hours are 8: 30 am - 3: 30 pm
- You will be working in two elementary schools located close in proximity near the Aurora, IL area
- Caseload will be all preschool ages
- In-person position
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments
- Using intelligence and academic performance testing to determine student diagnoses and recommendations for specialized services
- Observing students in various academic and social settings to gain insight and data into students' overall functioning in school
- Providing consultative psychology services to parents and school staff as described in the IEP
