This role includes planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and buildings. The individual will coordinate with vendors and contractors, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include conducting facility inspections, responding to maintenance requests, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. - Knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and facility compliance requirements, with a strong focus on safe work habits.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors, obtain quotes, schedule services, and oversee on-site work to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Proficiency in organizing maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies using basic computer and recordkeeping tools.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with operations, production, and leadership teams.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance is preferred; exposure to metal fabrication or similar environments is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, vocational training, or an associate degree
