The Role

We're looking for an HR People Partner to be the go-to person for all things people at Pedestal Health. This is a true generalist role. One day you're troubleshooting a benefits question, the next you're running an interview loop or making sure payroll goes out without a hitch. You'll own the full employee experience, from the systems that keep us running to the culture that makes people want to stick around. If you like variety, don't need a playbook for everything, and enjoy building things from scratch, this is your role.

What You’ll Do

People Support

• Be the person people come to with questions, concerns, or just need to talk something through
• Help managers navigate tough conversations, coaching, and performance issues
• Look into workplace concerns when they come up and help figure out a fair resolution
• Keep the vibe positive and catch issues early, before they turn into bigger problems
  
  

Recruiting

• Run hiring from start to finish - sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, the whole thing
• Work with hiring managers to figure out who we actually need and what a great candidate looks like
• Keep Greenhouse tidy and make sure every candidate has a good experience, whether they get the job or not
• Help us tell our story to attract great people
  
  

Benefits & Compensation

• Run our benefits programs day-to-day; enrollment, questions, compliance all of it
• Be the friendly face for benefits questions and chase down issues
• Pull benchmarking for positions, run merit cycles, and ensure consistent pay across the team
• Run open enrollment each year, from planning to explaining it to the team
  
  

HRIS

• Keep our HR system accurate - new hires, changes, exits, org updates, all clean and up to date
• Pull reports and dashboards that help leadership make good calls on headcount and planning
• Spot ways to automate or simplify our HR processes - we'd rather build a workflow than repeat a task
• Make sure the system setup matches our policies and keeps us compliant
  
  

Culture

• Champion the company's values and help translate them into everyday behaviors, recognition, and team rituals
• Help plan the stuff that makes work fun — all-hands, recognition shoutouts, team events, milestones
• Make sure new hires feel the culture from their very first day, not buried in a slide deck
• Keep a pulse on how people are feeling (surveys, exit chats, check-ins) and act on what you hear
• Serve as a culture champion and role model for the organization's values in daily interactions
  
  

What You Bring

• 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, bonus points if you've touched benefits, comp, ER, recruiting, and HRIS
• Have a good handle on multi-state employment law
• Strong judgment, discretion, and interpersonal skills; comfortable handling sensitive information
• You can juggle a lot without dropping the ball
• Experience working with ADP strongly preferred
• PHR/SHRM-CP is nice to have, not required
• Healthcare, life sciences, or startup experience is a plus
