Experienced Tax Accountant

Pedelahore & Co., LLP is growing rapidly, and we’re seeking skilled, motivated experience tax accountants to grow with us. We have an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team in our Metairie office. The ideal candidate will a have a strong public accounting background and a passion for delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

·        3–5 years of experience in public accounting with a concentration on tax

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

·        CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification

·        Solid understanding of individual, corporate, and partnership income tax preparation and review

·        Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

·        Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

·        Self-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable

·        Able to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with consistency and accuracy

·        Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

·        High level of discretion when handling confidential information

·        Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Lacerte is a plus

Key Responsibilities

·        Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships

·        Provide strategic tax planning for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals

·        Review client general ledgers and record adjusting journal entries

·        Analyze financial statements and oversee accounting processes in QuickBooks

·        Assist in the training, coaching, development and motivation of staff

·        Address staff questions and troubleshoot accounting or tax-related issues

·        Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering timely and accurate service

·        Collaborate with partners and team members on all phases of client engagements

·        Recognizes opportunities to provide additional services to new or existing clients
