What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Peddlers Village Partnership?
Peddler's Village's Flagship Restaurant, the Cock 'N Bull is in search of an experienced culinary leader to join our team as a Sous Chef. Our Sous Chefs are passionate, hands-on leaders who guide and support our culinary team. With a commitment to excellence, they help bring creativity and precision to every dish, ensuring a seamless kitchen experience and an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.
Requirements:
- Ability to assume responsibility for kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
- Ensure all menu items are executed properly, by working the line, expo and/or directing the team
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
- Strong passion for culinary excellence
- Proven ability to develop and lead a team
- Knowledge of systems, methods and processes that contribute to great execution
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- 3 years culinary supervisory experience in a high volume restaurant environment
