The Pecos League Office, in collaboration with the Tucson Saguaros, is seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead our team's off-field success for the upcoming season. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee all business aspects of a professional independent baseball team, driving revenue, enhancing fan experience, and building strong community ties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for ticket packages, group sales, and premium seating to maximize revenue.
- Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships, creating mutually beneficial relationships.
- Plan, organize, and execute engaging game day entertainment and promotional activities to enhance the fan experience.
- Oversee all day-to-day business operations of the team, ensuring efficient and effective management.
- Manage and mentor gameday staff and interns, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and manage the team's operational budget, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Cultivate strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and media outlets to promote the team.
- Collaborate with league officials to ensure compliance with all Pecos League rules and regulations regarding business operations.
- Please note: This position is focused solely on the business and operational aspects of the team and does not involve on-field baseball personnel decisions or concessions management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business operations, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets through ticket sales and corporate sponsorships.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing staff and projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season.
- Proficiency in CRM software, ticketing platforms, and standard office applications.

Season Details & Compensation:
- This is a paid position.
- The operational period for this role is from May 28th to July 28th.
- Position is based in Tucson, Arizona.
