What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Peconic Propane?
We are seeking an experienced service manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be a part of a successful propane company to provide the services to our customers and to our crews. Requirements: · Managerial experience is a must to delegate work orders to service department· 2-4 years in the propane, plumbing and/or HVAC industry is required· Must be proficient in Windows/QuickBooks/Outlook· Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills· Ability to prioritize and multi-task· Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow through ability· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Job duties and responsibilities include:· Schedule installations, repairs, and service maintenance calls / coordinate with service technicians.· Speak with customers to assess satisfaction and address concerns.· Read blueprints and coordinate with contractors of all trades.· Daily review of work order results and take action as required.· Work with service writer to ensure accurate and timely invoicing· Monitor employees to ensure correct handling of company vehicles and equipment.· Work with sales staff to oversee new projects.· Dispatch emergency on call to service technicians and bulk drivers.· Research and recommend solutions to customer problems.· Ensure that timeliness and quality requirements are maintained or exceeded.· Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of our service department.· Every other Saturday is a must. · On-Call support for our customers· Dispatch On-call to bulk drivers and service department Job Type: Full-time· Benefits include: health insurance, dental & vision benefits· 401K retirement plan· Profit Sharing· Paid vacations· Paid holidays· Paid sick time Only candidates submitting a resume and that meet the requirements will be considered.
