The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager works within the Project Management Office (PMO) to provide deliverables within all aspects of project planning and execution on a variety of corporate strategic initiatives. The Project Manager ensures proper stakeholder involvement on projects so that deliverables meet minimum standards for clarity and validation. Utilizing LEAN tools and change management methodology, they also assist in evolving key PMO processes to achieve performance and maintain appropriate project governance. Essential Functions:Provides creative solutions for business challengesBuilds partnerships and serves as the liaison with internal teams to effectively define, understand and deliver business solutions and value to the organizationWorks with business departments to provide support and coordination to ensure adoption of new systems and business processes in the environmentWorks to ensure stakeholder requirements are identified, documented, and met, using various methods (requirements gathering, Kaizen, PDCA, etc.)Ensures success and integrity of the project’s outcome by managing all aspects of deliverables creation and subsequent business transition requirements are delivered on-time, within scope and budgetManage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesProvides leadership and facilitates decision-making to move initiatives alongProvides verbal and written communications regarding risks, and issues and make recommendations for remediation or change to the Executive Sponsor and/or organizational leadershipFunctions as secondary Project Manager to provide cross-coverage to the project portfolioActs as a consultant to Department Manager on project feasibility and approachHelps and promotes organizational changePerform other related duties as assignedKey Competencies for SuccessDemonstrated well-developed strategic thinking and a customer service orientationStrong experience in successfully managing the creation of deliverables across a variety of significant cross-functional projects in parallelAbility to quickly understand enterprise and business segment processesWell-developed ability to build trust and strong relationships with customers (business partners)Well-developed ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership, usually through oral and written presentationsPositive team player with exceptional soft skillsExpert knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel, and proficient in PowerPoint, Word and VisioQualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experienceAt least 5 years’ experience in a formal Project Manager role working on enterprise-wide initiativesCertified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) is required and/or must complete the training to attain a CAPM Certification within the first 6 monthsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or formal training preferred is a plusStrong knowledge and experience in formalized project methodologies (PMI, Agile, Scrum, etc.) with proven experience executing straightforward to complex projectsEnvironment/Physical Demands: Primarily office/home environment.
